I'm in perfect Clisty form right now, doing something totally unnecessary when I should be packing my things for Ragnar. I've been wanting to post about her baptism for awhile, but I never got around to it.
I'll just throw the pics in. I bought three dresses for her. I orginally wanted something casual and wear-again-able for her. But I came to the conclusion that this was her day, not mine and I should see what she thought about it all.
"I want an Enchanted dress. Poufy."
Great, just what I was afraid of. So...the cash dress I ordered from Boden was out, it looked too short anyway. We went to Nordstrom and bought a poufy dress at half off, and I wasn't thrilled with it, but she was, so we called it good. Then I just had to see what Dillards had to offer. And their dresses were half of what I paid at Nordstrom, and there was one that fit Gwen's desires as well as looked super cute. I had to pay her $20 so she would agree to wear my choice of dress. She fell for it. Truth be told, she was easy to persuade and not really attached to her first choice. Bought us a pair of white ballet flats and we called it good.
Gwen's Primary teacher believes that little girls should be baptized in a pretty white dress and not the usual white jumpsuits. And so it was. Gwen went into the water wearing one of the dresses her teacher had sewn. Great idea.
I must say I was THRILLED with Gwen's hair. I pulled out this Conair iron I hadnt used in years and I tried a few ringlets. So cute.
